Our newest update for Trash ’n’ Tail: Raccoon Bandit is now live, bringing an all-new tropical destination, new unlockable content, gameplay improvements, and several quality-of-life features requested directly by players.
This update focuses on expanding player choice while polishing the overall experience. From swimming raccoons and unlockable worlds to limited-time football-inspired cosmetics, there’s plenty to discover.
New World: Tropical Paradise
The biggest addition in this update is Tropical, a brand-new world that introduces a completely different atmosphere from anything currently available in the game.
Filled with lush palm trees, flowing waterfalls, wooden bridges, mangrove waterways, and even a stranded ship, Tropical offers a vibrant island setting packed with visual variety. Bright colors, dense vegetation, and water-rich environments create a unique feeling as you race around the spherical world collecting trash and growing your tail.
The new environment was designed to feel alive and inviting while still supporting the fast-paced arcade gameplay that defines Trash ’n’ Tail.
Your Raccoon Can Now Swim
A tropical world wouldn't feel complete without water, and for the first time, raccoons can now take a dive.
Players can now swim through rivers, lagoons, and mangrove areas found throughout the Tropical world. This opens up new movement possibilities and makes navigation feel more dynamic than ever before.
Interestingly, this addition is inspired by real raccoons. While many people don't realize it, raccoons are surprisingly capable swimmers and can comfortably travel considerable distances through water when necessary. Bringing this natural ability into the game felt like a perfect fit for our favorite trash-loving bandits.
Swimming adds a fresh layer of movement without changing the core snake-like gameplay that players already know and enjoy.
Unlock New Worlds in the Shop
Additional worlds can be unlocked through the in-game shop using Raccoins. Players can earn Raccoins through regular gameplay or acquire them through optional purchases. This system gives players more freedom to decide which environments they want to unlock first while creating a clear progression path as the game continues to expand with future content. More worlds are already planned, and this structure gives us a strong foundation for delivering them.
Community Feedback Improvements
As always, player feedback continues to shape the game. This update includes several smaller improvements and refinements based directly on suggestions from the community:
- Improved various UI elements for a cleaner and more intuitive experience.
- Added a Random Skin option for players who enjoy switching appearances every match.
- Refined collision detection in several situations, including improved pickup detection for Raccoins and other interactable objects.
- Various stability and gameplay polish improvements throughout the game.
Many of these changes may seem small individually, but together they help make the overall experience feel smoother and more responsive.
Farewell to Rewarded Ads
We've also made a significant decision regarding monetization. Rewarded ads have been removed from the game. After reviewing player behavior and community feedback, it became clear that rewarded ads were neither particularly popular nor especially valuable for the overall experience. Rather than keeping a feature that wasn't providing meaningful benefits, we decided to remove it entirely.
Our goal remains simple: keep the focus on fun gameplay and continue building the best possible experience for our players.
Limited-Time Soccer World Cup Skins
To celebrate the Soccer World Cup, we've added a collection of limited-time themed skins.
Whether you're supporting your favorite team or simply want your raccoon to look match-ready, these special cosmetics bring a bit of football fever into the world of Trash ’n’ Tail. The skins will only be available for a limited time, so be sure to grab them while they're around.
